Business and Practice Coordinator

Job Description - Business and Practice Coordinator

A growing, design-led residential architecture practice is looking to appoint its first Business & Practice Coordinator.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the practice at an early stage and play a key role in its future development. Working closely with the Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the business, including bookkeeping, invoicing and general office management, while also contributing ideas around marketing, business development and improving internal processes.

The role would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership, is naturally organised and is excited by the prospect of helping shape a growing architectural practice. An interest in architecture, design or the creative industries would be a distinct advantage.

The practice is based at Harwell Innovation Park, Oxfordshire, with hybrid working and flexible hours available. Regular time in the office with the Director will be important, balanced with the flexibility to work remotely.  This is a part time role (15- 25 hours per week)

Ideal Person

The successful candidate is likely to:

  • Have previous experience in an administration, office management or business support role.

  • Be confident with bookkeeping, invoicing and financial administration (experience with accounting software such as Xero would be an advantage).

  • Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

  • Be proactive, self-motivated and comfortable working independently.

  • Enjoy improving systems, processes and ways of working.

  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Be confident using Microsoft Office and cloud-based software.

  • Have an interest in architecture, design or the creative industries.

  • Enjoy contributing ideas and being part of the growth of a small business.

  • Value flexibility while taking ownership and responsibility for their work.

  • Be proficient in Mac OS.

Benefits

25 days annual leave plus UK bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time staff), with office closure between Christmas and New Year.

Standard UK Pension scheme.

Professional memberships paid for.

CPD & training.

Competitive Salary.
