Job Description - Business Development Executive

Are you a driven and ambitious Business Development Executive with a passion for sales and client growth? We’re working with a well-established and growing organisation based in Wetherby, and they’re looking to strengthen their UK sales team.

This Business Development Executive role offers a great opportunity to make a measurable impact within a thriving company that operates in a specialist sector. You'll be instrumental in identifying new business opportunities, developing long-term client relationships, and helping shape the commercial future of the business.

Business Development Executive - What’s in it for you:

  • Salary of £35,000 plus £15,000 OTE and a profit share bonus scheme

  • Company car or car allowance
  • On-site role based in Wetherby - 3 days in the office, 2 days visiting clients

Key Responsibilities of the Business Development Executive:

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities via cold calling, LinkedIn, email outreach, and attending industry events

  • Deliver tailored client presentations and proposals that demonstrate commercial value

  • Build and manage lasting relationships with new and existing clients

  • Maintain accurate CRM records of sales activity, pipeline development, and forecasting

  • Attend industry trade shows and events to promote the brand and network with potential clients

To be successful in this Business Development Executive role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in sales or business development

  • Experience selling into the construction sector would be a significant advantage

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills

  • Experience working towards targets and KPIs

  • Confidence using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho)

  • A consultative and value-led sales approach

  • Self-motivation, with a natural drive to close deals and grow accounts
