Job Description - Business Development Executive

 

Business Development (BD) Executive

Location: Cardiff
Hours: Full -time, Monday–Friday, 9am – 5pm
Start Date: ASAP

 

Are you a proactive and driven
professional with a passion for client development? As a Business
Development Executive
, you’ll play a key role in driving growth initiatives
across the firm. Working closely with the BD & Marketing Director,
partners, and the marketing team, you’ll shape client strategies, foster strong
relationships, and lead impactful business development activities. If you’re
ready to track and enhance BD performance while helping implement a new CRM

What will you be doing?
  • Act as the day -to -day BD point of contact for an
    assigned business group, supporting partners with client and sector strategies.
  • Prepare client plans, relationship summaries,
    and opportunity maps to drive cross -selling across our full -service offering.
  • Assist with pitch materials, maintain
    credentials documents, and track pitch activity to refine BD strategy.
  • Plan and deliver client -facing events, manage
    hospitality, and track engagement outcomes to assess ROI.
  • Manage strategic partnerships and sponsorships,
    ensuring alignment with client priorities and tracking performance.
  • Maintain BD tracking systems, produce reports,
    and support the implementation of a new CRM system across the firm.

 

Who We’re Looking For

 

We’re looking for a proactive,
organised, and detail -oriented Business Development Executive with a strong
understanding of business development within professional services, ideally law
firms. You’ll be confident in managing key stakeholder relationships, working
directly with partners to drive growth initiatives. You should have excellent
project management and organisational skills, with an analytical mindset to
track and report on BD activity. Strong written and verbal communication skills
are essential, as is the ability to thrive in a fast -paced, full -service law
firm environment.

 

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications,
    or a related field
  • 2–5 years’ experience in business development,
    marketing, or events management (law firm experience preferred)
  • Proven experience in supporting pitches, client
    programmes, events, and partnerships
  • CRM experience is a plus, though not essential
