Morgan McKinley Northern Home Counties are proud to be representing a growing business in Northampton to recruit a Business Development Executive to join their expanding Sales & Marketing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and commercially minded sales professional who enjoys building genuine, long-term relationships. Working within a specialist and purpose-driven sector, the role will involve managing customer relationships, developing new opportunities, visiting clients, and supporting the wider team with product demonstrations and commercial activity.
This is not a hard-sales environment. The business is looking for someone who can act as a credible and professional representative, build trust with customers, and develop relationships over the long term.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and develop strong, long-term relationships with new and existing customers Manage and develop allocated accounts across the UK Identify and develop new business opportunities Conduct client meetings and site visits where required Follow up on enquiries, quotations and leads in a timely and structured manner Work closely with the technical team to support product demonstrations Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling Manage and maintain an active sales pipeline Ensure all customer activity and opportunities are accurately recorded within the CRM system Work closely with the Marketing Executive to convert marketing-generated leads Provide feedback on customer requirements, market activity and commercial opportunities Support wider sales, events and business development activity as requiredCandidate Requirements:
Previous experience within Sales, Business Development, Account Management or a similar commercial role Strong relationship-building and communication skills Comfortable meeting customers and representing the business professionally A consultative and relationship-led approach to sales Ability to identify and develop new commercial opportunities Organised and proactive, with strong follow-up and pipeline management skills Comfortable working collaboratively with technical and internal teams Strong attention to detail and CRM discipline Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits Experience within assistive technology, education, healthcare or a similar sector would be advantageous, but is not essentialWhat's on Offer:
