Business Development Executive

Job Purpose:
Our client is looking for an energetic, commercially-minded Business Development Executive to represent their award-winning waste and recycling brand across Chesterfield & Surrounding Areas.

Key Responsibilities:

* Be the face of our clients in your local patch, identifying and converting new business opportunities

* Promote their total waste solutions, including specialist compaction services

* Carry out around 10 quality site visits a day, building trusted relationships with commercial clients

* Structure your own working week while delivering outstanding results

* Hold a weekly one-to-one meeting with the Head of Sales (Waste) to review progress and strategy

* Participate in monthly sales meetings to share best practice and stay aligned with company goals

* Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new customers

* Collaborate with internal teams to deliver the best service for your clients

PERSON SPECIFICATION

* Previous experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing B2B roles

* Confident, bubbly, and persuasive personality – people should love talking to you

* Strong resilience and tenacity – you’ll thrive on chasing down leads and closing deals

* Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills

* Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively

* Full UK Driving Licence

* Ideally based in or around Chesterfield, with a good knowledge of the local area
