Job Description - Business Development Manager

Are you an experienced Business Development Manager with a proven track record of opening new opportunities within the premium on-trade FMCG sector? Are you passionate about championing prestigious brands? If so, this could be your perfect next move!

We are seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager to lead the charge of taking the exceptional Bolney Wine Estate to market. As one of England’s most enviable sparkling wine producers, Bolney has carved out a stellar reputation for quality, innovation, and craft. Now proudly part of the Jascots Wine Merchant portfolio, Bolney represents the pinnacle of English sparkling wine, and we’re looking for someone who can bring this prestigious name to an even wider audience across the South East.

This role offers an attractive starting salary, alongside a generous bonus scheme, car allowance and benefits package, including 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays and your birthday off), opportunities for career progression, and much more!

Key Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with premium on-trade, hotels and venues
  • Develop and manage a robust pipeline of prospective clients.
  • Act as the link between Bolney’s hospitality team and prospective clients, enhancing vineyard and winery experiences.
  • Collaborate with Brand and Customer Marketing teams to deliver engaging promotions and activations.
  • Craft and present compelling commercial proposals to win new business.
  • Deliver and maintain agreed commercial terms, achieving sales volume and margin targets.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven success in developing new business within the premium On Trade market.
  • A strong network of industry contacts and excellent wine knowledge.
  • Credible, persuasive communicator with a collaborative working style.
  • Commercially astute with a track record of hitting and exceeding targets.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the South East and into London.
  • Passionate about wine and the hospitality sector.
