Job Description - Business Development Manager

Reed Sales & Marketing are incredibly excited to be representing a nationally established and globally respected client based within Heavy Industry in their search for a Business Development Manager.

With customers based across a myriad of hard, dirty and technical industries, this is an exceptional opportunity for a technically savvy Sales Specialist to take strides within an organisation which is ready to grow.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing existing customer relationships, and driving revenue growth across key sectors. This role requires a proactive, technically-minded individual with a passion for industrial solutions and a strong commercial acumen.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve company targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target industries.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and key stakeholders.
  • Provide technical advice and product recommendations tailored to customer needs.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals in line with company policies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, production, logistics) to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and client meetings (UK and international travel may be required).
