Job Description - Business Development Manager

Business Development Manager
  • Annual Salary: £45k - £70k OTE
  • Location: Colchester
  • Job Type: Full-time

Reed Business Support in Colchester are working with a growing client who are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive business growth within the Middle East. This role involves identifying new opportunities, improving existing customer relationships, and liaising with stakeholders to achieve optimal results. The ideal candidate will demonstrate confidence, a strong work ethic, and a proven track record in business development.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Research and identify potential new opportunities and customers in the Middle East.
  • Promote the services and capabilities of my client to prospective customers.
  • Develop and manage a business strategy to increase growth across the region.
  • Follow up on quotations with new customers and provide feedback to the sales team.
  • Coordinate and organise business trips in conjunction with the regional manager.
  • Manage customer relationships through effective use of CRM tools.
  • Perform general customer service-related duties as required.
  • Work very closely with the Country Managers to ensure they are being supported within their role
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a business development role, ideally within a similar environment.
  • Self-motivated with a disciplined approach and the ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commercial awareness of the Middle East and an understanding of its current affairs.
  • Business intelligence regarding the Middle East markets.
  • Foreign language skills are advantageous but not required.
  • Must have own transport for commuting to and from the workplace.
