Role Overview 


The Business Development Manager will drive business growth by identifying, developing, and building relationships with potential clients across target sectors. You will play a key role in expanding METCLOUD’s client base, with a focus on SMEs, government, and regulated industries. 



Key Responsibilities 



  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in line with METCLOUD’s growth strategy. 



  • Build and nurture relationships with prospective clients and partners 



  • Develop tailored proposals and presentations to win new business 



  • Represent METCLOUD at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities 



  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitors, and market conditions 



  • Collaborate with technical, marketing, and leadership teams to shape solutions for client needs 



  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs 



Essential Requirements 



  • Proven track record in business development or sales, ideally within IT, cybersecurity, or cloud services 



  • Strong network in the West Midlands, with the ability to engage decision-makers 



  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills 



  • Results-driven and highly motivated 



  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team 



  • Full UK driving licence 



  • Experience selling to government, defence, or regulated sectors 



  • Understanding of cybersecurity, cloud, and/or IT managed services
