Job Description - Business Development Manager

Are you an experienced Business Development Manager with the ability to build and nurture long -lasting client relationships? Are you able to take initiative and produce results? GIF Products have some exciting growth plans...this could be the role for you!


GIF Products is the leading supplier of laminating films to the printing trade and with an ongoing expansion plan, they are rapidly establishing their service and supply reputation in other products and industries. While continuing to service the UK market, they are expanding their distribution network globally and adding product lines along the way, including world -class Fire Safety products, by FireXO.

Sandro, is the face of GIF Products and is currently fully responsible for the sales function within the business, however, due to continued product line and distribution developments, are actively looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join the newly appointed Marketing Manager and Telesales Exec and become an integral part in the growth plans.


This role will report to the Technical Director, and is due to start in April 2023.


Requirements

As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing all phases of the sales process, from initial contact to final order. This will be for both existing key accounts and new opportunities you have unearthed to increase overall market share.


You will be fully responsible for building excellent working relationships with all clients and become their go -to person for any of their needs. After identifying a need, you will need to liaise with the team to design a customer -focused solution, which you will need to prepare and present to your prospect.


You will be responsible for identifying, measuring, and reporting on outcomes from sales activities, using CRM/sales software to manage your pipeline and feedback on your findings at regular team meetings.


You will manage your own administration and diary. You will be encouraged to identify and share improvements to your role, and the processes you use day to day. A close working relationship with staff across the company will be necessary, as will accountability for all endeavours with a strong and continuous focus on sales.


You must be flexible and creative in your approach to carrying out your duties which may change from time to time to reflect business needs or for the company’s continuous improvement.


Finally, the Business Development Manager will be required to ensure that objectives, set by the Directors, are met through continued communication. Ongoing Products and System Training will be provided to enable you to perform your role to the best of your abilities.

Benefits

This is a full -time, permanent position. Although this is a hybrid role, you will need to reliably commute to and from the office (HP18 9BF) at least two days per week to carry out internal meetings (days to be agreed upon hire).

  • £30,000 per annum - OTE of £40 -£45,000
  • 20 days holiday per annum plus bank holidays - the business is closed for the Christmas period and reopens in January (this does not affect your allocated allowance)
  • Additional monthly Company Bonus based on the success of the business against pre -set targets
  • Statutory pension scheme

A full and clean driving licence and access to a vehicle are required to fulfil the duties of this role. Mileage incurred for meetings etc will be reimbursed at £0.45/mile.
