We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join a family-run SME who operate in the building consumables industry. This is a National role, responsible for promoting and selling a range of construction materials and supplies to contractors, builders, architects, and other professionals in the construction industry. This role will be roughly 4 days per week out on the road for meetings, Nationally and 1 day per week in the office in Essex. Responsibilities: Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to identify and target potential customers in the construction industry Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and providing personalized solutions. Identify new business opportunities and actively prospect for new customers through cold calling, networking, and referrals. Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features and benefits of our building consumables. Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking functions Requirements
Previous experience in a field based sales role, preferably in the building materials or construction industry Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth. Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities, with a focus on delivering value to customers. Knowledge of building materials and construction processes is preferred. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed Hours - Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (with a degree of flexibility) Benefits
Basic salary £40,000 - £45,000 per annum OTE £60,000 - £65,000 (uncapped) Expenses paid Car allowance
