We are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a growing Financial Services platform in the City of London to appoint aBusiness Development Manager – Real Estate Finance .

This is a newly created permanent position, offering a rare opportunity for an experienced real estate finance professional to join an ambitious business at an exciting stage of growth. The Role

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for originating, structuring, and managing commercial real estate finance transactions, with a focus on development and bridging finance opportunities. You'll work closely with borrowers, brokers, intermediaries, and professional advisers, building long-term relationships while delivering tailored financing solutions.

This is a highly visible position within the business, offering the opportunity to work across the full transaction lifecycle alongside Credit Risk and Executions teams.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Originate, structure, and manage a portfolio of commercial real estate finance clients
  2. Source and execute development finance and bridging finance transactions
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with borrowers, brokers, intermediaries, and professional advisers
  4. Conduct credit assessments, cashflow analysis, and valuation reviews
  5. Negotiate financing structures, terms, and covenants
  6. Monitor portfolio performance, refinancing activity, and extension requests
  7. Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and support wider business growth initiatives
  8. Conduct site visits and support post-completion transaction monitoring
  9. Collaborate closely with Credit Risk, Executions, and external stakeholders throughout the lending process

About You

  1. 5+ years' experience within commercial real estate finance
  2. Strong track record in development finance and bridging finance
  3. Established network of brokers, introducers, and industry contacts
  4. Proven business development and deal origination capability
  5. Strong understanding of credit risk, property-secured lending, and financing structures
  6. Commercially astute with excellent relationship management skills
  7. Able to operate autonomously and make an immediate impact
  8. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities
