Experienced Business Development Executive, ready for their next step.
We are looking for a Business Development Executive with demonstrable knowledge and experience within the transport and logistics industry.
The successful candidate will be jointly responsible for managing the key accounts of the branch, following up on international leads and developing key accounts by your committed approach to your customers. In this role we expect the successful candidate to visit new customers to build and maintain relationships and ensure exceptional service is delivered. You will be working in an international, mainly European, environment. The position is mainly commercial in nature, but some operational knowledge is an advantage.
The successful candidate will be part of a driven commercial sales team, working for a global market leader in transport and logistics. Customer satisfaction, quality and honesty are of paramount importance to us because we believe that these are the most important aspects in which you can still distinguish yourself as a logistics service provider in the current market.
Pay, benefits and more:
Were looking to offer a salary up to £34,000 per annum plus company car. We also have sales bonus scheme which is paid each quarter.
In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. Youll have access to a variety of high street discounts as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.

What youll do on a typical day:
The position includes the following activities:
Generate strong, qualified leads by creating and developing new business relationships (70%)
Developing additional business relationships (30%)
Maintain contact with and visit your (inter)national customers.
Reporting commercial developments
Creating and giving presentations to (potential) customers
Assess your RFQs and analyze whether they are suitable for our organization.
Ensure a good transfer of new customers to the customer service/planning department for the retention and growth of these customers for which you remain commercially responsible.
Aware of international market developments in a rapidly changing logistics world, and actively respond to them.
Map the transport market, build your customer portfolio, and get the most out of the internal organization.

What you need to succeed at XPO:
Experience in a similar position within transport & logistics is essential.
Knowledge of Salesforce is an advantage.

Excellent communication skills adapting to different personalities.
Proactive and self-driven
Education level: A-level +2
