Job Description - Business Development Manager - London and South East
A leading national M&E provider is seeking a driven and commercially focused Business Development Manager to join its expanding sales team. This position plays a pivotal role in accelerating the organisation’s new‑business strategy and supporting continued national growth. The company is well‑known for consistently exceeding client expectations and delivering high‑quality FM and M&E solutions.
The ideal candidate will bring proven experience within the FM and M&E sectors, along with the ambition and resilience needed to match the organisation’s forward‑thinking growth plans.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold outreach, and targeted market research
Develop and implement growth strategies aligned with company objectives
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders
Conduct market analysis to understand trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning
Prepare and deliver compelling business proposals, pitches, and presentations
Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve or exceed sales targets
Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operational teams to ensure strategic alignment
Monitor performance metrics and provide regular reporting on business development activity
Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and networking forums Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar commercial role
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders
Strategic thinker with strong problem‑solving abilities
Commercial awareness and understanding of market dynamics
Self‑motivated with a results‑driven approach
Proficiency in CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot
Experience within the FM and M&E market is highly desirable Key Competencies
