Job Description - Business Development Manager - Sponsorship Sales

Business Development Manager - Sponsorship Sales | B2B Health Events
Base up to £40,000 + Commission + Benefits
Central London Office | Hybrid Working (3 Set Office Days) | International Travel

An international, award-winning B2B events company is hiring a driven Business Development Manager to join its rapidly growing Health Conference division. You’ll be part of a dynamic and supportive team that delivers high-profile, large-scale conferences across the USA and Europe, working with global clients on impactful sponsorship solutions.

The Role:

As a Business Development Manager, your core responsibility will be to sell sponsorship packages to businesses. This is a consultative, solutions-based sales role, with clear targets and high earning potential.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Re-engaging lapsed accounts, nurturing warm leads, and actively prospecting to secure new business
  • Engaging clients via phone, email, and video calls
  • Leveraging tools like LinkedIn and working with robust data sets to identify opportunities
  • Collaborating closely with colleagues across sales, production, and marketing teams
  • Attending international events and in-person client meetings as required

What We’re Looking For:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in B2B conference sponsorship sales is ideal; however, experience in recruitment, media, IT, or similar B2B sales will also be considered
  • A strong track record of achieving revenue goals and delivering consistent results
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage time and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the emotional intelligence to build trust and rapport with clients and colleagues
  • A consultative, insight-driven sales approach - you listen, understand, and guide
  • Confidence using tech tools and platforms, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset, positive, enthusiastic, and ready to contribute to a collaborative culture
