Here are just some of the things you’ll be getting involved with:Be a driving force to contribute to the continued growth and success of TAG TouringCreate a portfolio of contacts pertinent to company and divisional offerings and self-generate quality new business leadsDevelop a network of strong connections and use proactive approaches to attract prospective clientsUtilise and assist divisional staff to generate repeat/more business from existing clientsBuild positive relationships with potential clients and existing customers to seek untapped leads and referralsEstablish a healthy rolling sales pipeline within the guidelines of company and divisional client targetsPartner with Operations Managers and Directors to understand individual trading divisions and ensure sales pipelines are aligned with divisional target expectationsInput to plans with Marketing colleagues for social media and brand/company promotions.Liaise with the Touring Director of Operations to forecast future sales targets and budgetsAccurately track prospective client interactions ensuring up-to-date information is always recordedMaintain the CRM tool (Salesforce) to expand the prospects list and keep records fully updated to be available and utilised across all Sales and BDM teamsWork with the Sales team to maximise the conversion rate of qualified new business opportunitiesAchieve targets of qualified opportunities and set appointments in line with agreed KPIsRun and complete end-to-end Sales processes for all new client potentialsRespond promptly and appropriately to significant market conditions and competitor threats and risksIdentify and recommend where TAG Touring’s offering can be improved to meet client-expected benchmarksUnderstand TAG Touring’s service philosophy and company objectives to pursue compatible leads onlyMeet regularly with the Touring Director of Operations and other divisional management as requiredHave consistent awareness of company and industry developments to remain suitably and effectively knowledgeableRepresent and promote the TAG brand at agreed industry events and trade showsResearch and be aware of Sales and Business Development methods to continually develop knowledge and skillsCollaborate with TAG’s global BDMs and Sales and Commercial teams to share potential leads and collectively support the achievement of Company expansion objectivesCommunicate anything of significance, positive or negative, to the Sales and Commercial management teamsPerform other duties as may be assigned from time to timeThe HowTo be successful at TAG is as much about mindset and attitude as it is about skill set and qualifications. As a Business Development Manager for our Touring UK division there are several credentials and attributes which would be advantageous, but a determined attitude and willingness to learn, are equally important:Education to Degree level or higher or In lieu of education – equivalent combination of education and directly related experienceComprehensive knowledge of the TMC market within a key Touring client-baseConsiderable experience of business development within the travel industry (preferably in Touring)Demonstrated success in a similar roleCompetency using the Salesforce platform (or other CRM/equivalent)Proven record of working in a dynamic and fast-paced environmentExcellent interpersonal and networking skills and a skilled communicator in all forms of communicationHighly motivated and results-driven with a determined attitude to achieving KPIs and company objectivesA commercial mindset with the ability to negotiate and influence a wide range of people at all levels of businessSolid understanding of detailed client budgets and related financial componentsAble to research, source, share and record information effectively and accuratelyStrong and confident presentation skills for a variety of stakeholder audiencesForward-thinking and dynamic with solid prioritising and organisation of own workloadCapable of interchanging autonomous independent work with being a team-player, as well as collaborative teamwork throughout the organisationWillingness to work within changing priorities with continued enthusiasmAppreciation for timely responses/actions and meeting strict deadlinesConsistent attention to detail and high levels of accuracyProactive and continuous personal development to increase and maintain expertiseFlexibility to working hours in consideration of global office time-zonesThe Where and WhenThis is a full-time role (35 hours per week) based in our London or Manchester office. Since March 2020, we have operated a flexible, hybrid approach to working and will continue to do this moving forward. We will work with you to find the best mix of office and home working that suits your life and the needs of the teamYou will report into the Director of Commercial.
