Job Description - Business Development Representative

Role Overview:

As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Zoho, you will play a critical role in driving new business opportunities by proactively reaching out to potential clients. You will identify, qualify, and nurture leads through outbound prospecting via calls, emails, and social selling. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven individual passionate about technology and eager to build a career in SaaS sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outbound prospecting (cold calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach) to generate new business opportunities.

  • Identify and research prospective SMB, mid-market, and enterprise clients.

  • Qualify leads based on budget, authority, need, and timeline (BANT framework).

  • Schedule discovery calls and product demos for the sales team with qualified prospects.

  • Maintain accurate records of all outreach and lead interactions in Zoho CRM.

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to refine outreach strategies and messaging.

  • Stay updated on Zoho’s product offerings, industry trends, and competitive landscape.

  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly/quarterly lead generation and pipeline targets.                                         



Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in outbound sales or lead generation, preferably in SaaS or B2B tech
  • Excellent communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills (verbal & written)
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable with high-volume outbound prospecting
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales engagement tools.
  • Self-motivated, coach-able, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, hybrid environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in business, marketing, or a related field
  • Ability to understand customer pain points and position Zoho’s solutions effectively.
  • Tech-savvy with an interest in SaaS, cloud software, digital transformation and AI.
