NHS Supply Chain currently has an opportunity for a Business Improvement Advisor to join our team during an exciting period of transformation, working to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first.
As a Business Improvement Advisor, you will be responsible for providing specialist advice, recommendations and support to our NHS Trust leadership teams (both clinical and non-clinical) to improve their in-hospital supply chain processes from backdoor to scanning clinical products to a patient, to drive better patient and business outcomes. Reviewing Inventory Management (IM) and Point of Care (PoC) processes and systems, identifying where improvements and efficiencies can be gained, driving forward improvements, benefits realisation and patient safety. You will support changes of culture, approach, systems and processes within trusts.
You will be capable of planning and prioritising work, managing competing demands and deadlines and you will have the enthusiasm and drive to deliver results. You will be required to take a flexible and innovative approach will need excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills to ensure long term change is embedded.

Work nationally supporting local trusts
Quickly build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all organisational levels and be persuasive in promoting good practice and industry leading approaches to process design, change management and continuous improvement
Expediently assess a range of operational systems, processes, infrastructure, and environmental factors to inform best practice recommendations:
Identify and scope key areas for change
Specification and solution building
Supporting through implementation of change
Provide specialist advice and recommendations to our NHS Trust Leadership Teams
Delivers operational recommendations with simplicity and clarity to improve supply chain outcomes, value for money and improved patient safety.
