Business Planning and Treasury Manager

Macildowie is proud to be partnering with a well-regarded housing association to appoint a Business Planning and Treasury Manager - a pivotal leadership role at the heart of the organisation's financial strategy and long-term sustainability.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you'll lead on the production and ongoing development of the organisation's 30-year Group Business Plan, support major investment decisions, and oversee treasury operations to ensure compliance and optimal performance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing regular business plan updates, including assessing new opportunities and investment proposals
• Leading statutory and management accounts for the organisation's financing subsidiary
• Overseeing daily cash and loan management, ensuring compliance with Treasury Policy
• Producing financial returns for lenders, regulators, and the Board
• Managing key relationships with banks, bond funders and professional advisers

We're looking for:

• A fully qualified CCAB accountant (or equivalent) with at least 3 years' post-qualified experience
• Strong experience in financial planning, treasury management, and cash flow forecasting
• A commercial mindset with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear insight
• Advanced Excel skills and ideally experience with business planning software such as BRIXX
• A collaborative, values-driven leader with excellent communication and analytical skills
• Experience within the social housing sector or a regulated environment is highly desirable.
