We are working with a secondary school in Stroud seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Business Studies Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This is a full-time position teaching Business Studies across Key Stages 4 and 5, with full teaching responsibilities expected throughout the assignment.
The school is looking for a teacher who can make business concepts relevant and engaging, helping students develop both their academic understanding and their awareness of the wider commercial world. The successful candidate will join a supportive department and have the opportunity to make a significant impact during an important period of the academic year. Based on the school's ongoing needs, there is potential for the role to continue beyond Christmas and through to the end of the Spring Term.
The Role
Teach Business Studies across Key Stages 4 and 5. Plan and deliver engaging, challenging, and differentiated lessons. Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback. Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations. Maintain accurate records of attainment, progress, and attendance. Identify students requiring additional support and implement appropriate intervention strategies. Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and share teaching resources and best practice. Contribute to departmental meetings and school events as required. Support the school's behaviour, safeguarding, and pastoral policies. Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other stakeholders regarding student progress and achievement.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching Business Studies at secondary level. Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Business education. Experience preparing students for examinations and assessments. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. A collaborative and proactive approach to teaching and learning.
