Business Support Coordinator

Ashtead Technology are looking for an organised and proactive Business Support Coordinator to join our Business Systems Team and provide a broad range of administrative and coordination support activities. This is a full time, in office position based in Kintore. The role will initially focus on providing administrative and coordination support, while progressively developing your knowledge and understanding of our business systems and processes.

Ideally, we're looking for someone with previous experience in an administrative, operations, coordination or support role, with the confidence to work independently and take ownership of day-to-day responsibilities. This could be within rental, oil & gas, engineering, logistics or another operational environment.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, coordinating tasks, supporting colleagues and finding practical solutions to day-to-day challenges. It is particularly well suited to someone with an administration or operations background who is looking to develop their career and build knowledge in business systems and user support.

We will provide training, guidance and hands-on experience to help you build your systems knowledge over time. As your experience develops, you will take on increasing responsibility for supporting users, responding to system queries and helping colleagues get the most from our business applications.

What you'll be doing:

• Provide day-to-day administrative and coordination support.


• Manage and respond to a range of internal requests, ensuring they are recorded, progressed and followed through to completion.


• Maintain accurate records, trackers and registers, ensuring information is kept up to date and produce regular reports and statistics to support the team and wider business.


• Support the administration of user access, including onboarding and offboarding activities.


• Raise purchase orders for software, licences, services and other business requirements, liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure orders are processed correctly.


• Liaise with external suppliers to coordinate activities and resolve queries.


• Attend meetings and calls with internal stakeholders and external service providers where required, tracking agreed actions and providing updates to ensure tasks are completed within agreed timescales.


• Develop knowledge of our Business Systems through structured training, hands-on experience and support from the Business Systems team.


• Progressively develop the ability to provide first-line user support, resolving routine Business System queries and helping colleagues use the system effectively.


• Assist with coordinating business testing when changes or improvements are introduced, working with departmental representatives to gather feedback and ensure actions are followed up.


• Maintain relevant documentation, guidance notes and process information.
  

What experience you'll bring:

• Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.


• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.


• Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple requests.


• Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to changing business needs while maintaining accuracy and delivering excellent customer service.
  
  
  

Experience working in rental, oil & gas, engineering, logistics, project administration or another operational environment is beneficial a well as experience using an ERP or business application such as Oracle NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamicsor a similar system.
