Business Systems Analyst (D365 F&O)

Job Description - Business Systems Analyst (D365 F&O)

Business Systems & Dynamics 365 Analyst - D365 F&O | London | Hybrid (minimum 2 days per week onsite) | Circa £70,000 | Permanent, Full-time

We're recruiting for a Business Systems & Dynamics 365 Analyst to join an international organisation at an exciting stage of its ERP and business systems transformation.

This is a hands-on role combining Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) expertise with business analysis and systems delivery. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand requirements, improve processes and support the ongoing development and rollout of D365 F&O across an international, multi-site environment.

With a major go-live approaching, this is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to both the technology and the business and wants to play an active role across the full solution lifecycle.

The Role

Providing hands-on functional support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O, particularly across Operations / Supply Chain Management
Gathering and documenting business requirements and translating them into practical functional solutions
Working with stakeholders to understand existing processes, identify pain points and drive process improvements
Supporting D365 configuration, workflows, security, user administration and functional troubleshooting
Investigating incidents and system issues, identifying root causes and coordinating resolutions
Supporting integrations, batch processes, data interfaces and data management
Planning and supporting UAT, regression and validation testing, including test scripts, defect management and stakeholder sign-off
Supporting change, release and environment management throughout the application lifecycle
Using Azure DevOps to manage requirements, changes, defects and delivery activities
Creating process documentation, user guides and training materials and delivering training to end users
Working closely with implementation partners, software vendors and internal stakeholders
Supporting ongoing ERP implementations, integrations and wider business transformation initiatives
Supporting master data and data-quality improvements, alongside reporting and analysis using tools such as Power BI, Excel or SQL
What we're looking for

Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
Good functional knowledge of D365 Supply Chain Management / Operations
Experience supporting D365 during both implementation and BAU
A background spanning business analysis, application support or systems / ERP delivery
Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into functional outcomes
Strong experience with testing, including UAT and regression testing
Experience with Azure DevOps and an understanding of release / application lifecycle management
Confidence working directly with business stakeholders as well as technical teams and external implementation partners
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex functional and operational issues
A pragmatic, hands-on approach and the ability to take ownership of issues through to resolution
Knowledge of D365 workflows, security administration, LCS, DMF, integrations and batch processing would be particularly useful. Exposure to Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, SQL or other ERP platforms would also be advantageous.

The opportunity
This role offers plenty of variety and visibility. You'll be joining during an important period of systems transformation, with the opportunity to influence how D365 is used across the organisation and work with stakeholders across multiple functions, sites and countries.

The position is based in London, with an expectation of being onsite at least two days per week. Some occasional international travel and flexibility around global operations may also be required, including agreed support and release activities outside normal working hours when necessary.

Salary: circa £70,000 + package

If you're a hands-on D365 F&O professional who combines strong functional knowledge with business analysis skills - and particularly if you have experience across Supply Chain Management and Azure DevOps - we'd be keen to hear from you.
