Job Description - Business Systems Developer Adult Social Care

5 months contract with a Local Authority

Pay Rate: £30 per hour umbrella

Summary

We are looking for a skilled Business Systems Developer for a 5-month contract with a Local Authority. The role involves designing, developing, configuring, and maintaining essential IT systems and digital solutions. You will collaborate with stakeholders, suppliers, and internal teams to turn business and legal requirements into technical solutions, ensuring systems are secure, efficient, and aligned with the organization's goals. This position is crucial for managing application lifecycles, improving systems, and driving digital transformation within the Council.

Responsibilities

Analyze business needs and convert them into technical specifications and system solutions.

Design, develop, configure, and implement improvements to business systems and digital solutions.

Oversee system development projects and configuration changes, ensuring they meet timelines and scope.

Work with software suppliers, business stakeholders, and internal teams to enhance systems.

Develop and maintain system integrations, interfaces, reports, and outputs.

Keep technical documentation, system specifications, and development records current.

Support application lifecycle management, including software upgrades, patches, and new releases.

Requirements:

Extensive experience in business systems analysis, design, development, and configuration.

Proven track record of delivering comprehensive technical solutions in complex organizations.

Experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation, system specifications, and change control documentation.

Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or significant equivalent experience in business systems development and support.

Payment is on a bi-weekly schedule.
