Buyer

Futures are working with one of the fastest growing and well known manufacturing businesses in the area looking to appoint a buyer to work within their supply chain team. The successful buyer will come from a manufacturing background and have the ability to read and interpret drawings. The role will be focused on working with new and existing suppliers, negotiating on price.

Buyer - Role and Responsibilities - Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing

- Collation of information to help produce monthly KPIs
- Use your own experience / initiative to solve manufacturing and assembly problems with the supply chain
- Identify, source and purchase metal products to ensure products are manufactured in line with business requirements (Quality, Delivery, Cost, Value Add)
- Responsible for managing a large range of products from the initial order, communicating with suppliers and monitoring delivery schedules

Buyer - Skills and Abilities - Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing

- Experience of working in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Understanding of manufacturing methods 
- Familiar with ERP systems, lean techniques and logistics / supply chain
