A leading specialist Roofing contractor are looking to recruit a Buyer to work from their office in Redditch,Worcestershire

This is an exciting time for a Buyer to join a successful team.

The role:

Sourcing and Procurement:

Identifying and selecting suppliers for roofing and cladding materials, equipment, and services.

Negotiation:

Negotiating prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable contracts

Cost Management:

Analyzing and managing project costs, including material costs, labor costs, and subcontractor costs.

Inventory Management:

Managing inventory levels to ensure that materials are available when needed, while minimizing waste and storage costs.

Contract Negotiation:

Reviewing and negotiating contracts with suppliers to ensure compliance with project requirements and legal regulations.

Supplier Relationship Management:

Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.

Market Research:

Staying informed about market trends, new products, and technologies in the roofing and cladding industry.

The Company:

A leading specialist contractors in the construction industry, providing complete roofing solutions across the UK.
They work across many sectors including; Health, Education, MOD, Custodial, Retail, Leisure & Residential.
Their services involve design, supply, installation and construction for many major organisations throughout the country, including main contractors, management contractors, architects and end clients.

The Person:
It is likely you will have previously worked as either a Buyer or Commercial Manager in a similar roofing and cladding building environment.

What you will have:
Experience with some or all of the following:
Single Ply roofing systems
Zinc Roofing / Cladding
Green / Sedium roofing
Liquid waterproofing systems
Built up felt roofing
Fall arrest systems
Architectural balustrades / handrails
