A well established Manufacturing & distribution business based in Manchester are seeking a Buyer to join their Purchasing Team. This opportunity will suit an individual with Purchasing experience who is keen to continue to grow and develop in a high performing dynamic team.

Description

• Managing the Supply Chain to ensure flow of materials and availability
• Manage delivery schedules to ensure consolidation as much as possible to reduce transport costs
• Ensure that all purchases adhere to company policies and budget constraints.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and resolving any issues that may arise.
• Keeping accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
• Collaborating with other departments to forecast future supply needs.
• Participating in the development of procurement strategies and plans

Profile

A successful Buyer should have:

• Strong negotiation skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• A strong understanding of supply chain and procurement processes.
• Proficiency in relevant software, such as Microsoft Office and procurement applications.
• The ability to make informed decisions under pressure.

Job Offer

• A competitive salary in the region of £36,000 - £40,000
• 25 days Annual leave plus Bank Holidays
• Lunchtime finish on Friday
