We’re looking for a commercially aware, detail-driven Buyer / Demand Planner to join our dynamic Supply Chain team in Coulsdon.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the challenge of balancing stock availability with cost efficiency, thrives on forecasting trends, and knows how to keep suppliers sharp. You'll be instrumental in ensuring our customers get what they need—on time and within budget—while supporting the wider business in meeting key service and performance targets.

About the Role

As Buyer you’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of suppliers and products, maintaining optimum inventory levels, and leading efforts in demand planning. From processing purchase orders to developing and refining our sales and operations planning (S&OP) process, your work will have a direct impact on our business performance.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing stock levels and placing timely, accurate orders
• Ensuring data integrity for pricing, stock and delivery schedules
• Building supplier relationships, negotiating costs and reviewing performance
• Collaborating with Sales, Finance and Marketing to develop accurate demand forecasts
• Leading process improvements across procurement and demand planning
• Driving the S&OP process to align supply with business demand

Essential:

• Solid numeracy and literacy skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical skills
• Clear communication—written and verbal
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and handling large data sets
• Cost management

Desirable:

• Procurement or supply chain experience
• CIPS or relevant qualifications
• Experience using procurement software
• Confidence in negotiation and multitasking
