We’re recruiting for a global manufacturer based in Cambridge, supplying precision-engineered products to highly regulated industries. As Buyer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring material availability, maintaining supplier relationships and supporting on-time project delivery.

As Buyer, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading day-to-day purchasing activities, including sourcing, negotiating and order placement
• Monitoring supplier performance, managing stock levels and tracking order progress
• Working with cross-functional teams to ensure material availability for manufacturing and projects
• Reducing total cost of ownership through strategic sourcing and supplier consolidation
• Supporting planning, risk mitigation and supplier performance reviews

As Buyer, your experience will include:

• 3+ years in procurement or supply chain roles within a manufacturing or engineering setting
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems (SAP or equivalent) and Excel
• Experience working with procurement KPIs and supply chain data
• Ideally CIPS qualified or working towards
