Buyer

Our client, a leading consumer goods company is recruiting for an Experienced Buyer to lead their festive (seasonal) range. You will take ownership of the range and be able to source suppliers and products worldwide

About the Role?

As Buyer for our festive seasonal range, you will proactively manage a range of around 1800 products, have a passion for product and be a strong team player. You will need to embrace our culture and strive to create and deliver an exceptional range that offers our customers unrivalled value.

You will also:

• Source products and suppliers worldwide.
• Negotiate and manage our existing supplier base
• Category and range management.
• Plan and select product according to customer demand.
• Monitor, maintain and action business analysis and trends.
• Identify and retain strong working relationships with suppliers and will be accountable for end-to-end contract negotiations, onboarding and renewals.
• Collaborate effectively with key internal stakeholders;

About You?

You will have expert knowledge of the buying cycle and have experience, preferably in festive (Christmas seasonal goods). You will be commercially aware and have impeccable relationship building skills.

You will also have -

• Strong commercial acumen.
• Previous experience in Buying, preferably in seasonal goods industry.
• Be able to travel.
• Be organised and motivated to be the best you can be.
• PC literate, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
• A creative mindset
• Strong customer service focus when dealing with both internal and external parties.
• Excellent time-management skills and the ability and willingness to multi-task.
• Flexibility and readiness to adapt to changing priorities.

You may be required to travel frequently both within the UK and Internationally.
