On behalf of our valued client in Tonbridge, Reed Business Support are recruiting for an experienced and proactive Buyer to join a thriving and well-established organisation in the manufacturing sector.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong purchasing experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving value across the procurement process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source, negotiate, and manage supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective purchasing
• Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of goods and materials
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain up-to-date supplier records
• Collaborate with internal departments to forecast demand and manage inventory levels
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and improved efficiencies across the supply chain
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures

About You:

• Previous experience in a similar Buyer or Purchasing role, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment
• Confident negotiator with strong commercial acumen
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable using procurement systems and Excel
• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
