Jackson Hogg Procurement division are pleased to be working with an industrial services business in South Tyneside on the appointment of a Buyer to join their supply chain team. This role is a newly-created position due to growth so is an exciting time to join! This is a permanent role offering hybrid working of 2 days per week from home.

The primary focus is to procure goods and services quickly and accurately to ensure operations are maintained across the business.

The Role:

• Raise POR’s for goods and services ensuring approval in line with DOA.

• Expedite POR’s to ensure lead times are met.

• Issue RFQ’s

• Invoice query resolution.

• Engage with key stakeholders across the business to develop relationships, understand requirements and project pipeline.

• Be a champion for the function, providing guidance and support to site teams for all aspects of supply chain.

The Person/Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills to deal with various levels of internal and external stakeholders

• Organisation and work prioritisation

• Good negotiating skills

• Be proactive and able to work using your own initiative

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to adhere to strict deadlines

• Accurate in processing information.

• Experience working with MRP/ERP systems.

• Previous experience in similar Supply Chain role
