This opportunity has arisen due to continued business growth and increased R&D activity, supporting exciting plans for future development. The company is a long-established and highly respected leader within its specialist industry.

£28,000 starting salary, rising to £30,000 following successful probation

Key Responsibilities:
 
Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with UK and international suppliers to ensure optimal quality, cost, and delivery performance
Procurement: Source and purchase engineering materials, components, and services in line with company policies and requirements
Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers to deliver cost savings and improve supply chain efficiency
Quality Assurance: Work closely with the Quality team to ensure all purchased materials and components meet required specifications and standards
Market Analysis: Conduct ongoing market research to stay informed of industry trends, pricing changes, and potential new suppliers
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchases and supplier performance
Compliance: Ensure all procurement activity adheres to internal policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards
Requirements:
 
Previous experience in a procurement role, ideally within an engineering or manufacturing environment
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
