Are you an experienced Buyer looking for your next opportunity?

We are currently recruiting for a Buyer to join an established engineering business based in Pershore. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with purchasing experience who is looking to join a professional, well-established organisation offering a competitive salary and a great work-life balance.

Working within a busy engineering environment, you will play an important role in ensuring materials, components and services are sourced efficiently, competitively and in line with business requirements.

The Role

As a Buyer, your responsibilities will include:

* Managing purchasing activities to ensure materials and components are available when required.

* Sourcing new suppliers and maintaining strong relationships with existing suppliers.

* Requesting and comparing quotations to secure competitive pricing.

* Raising and processing purchase orders.

* Monitoring supplier performance, delivery schedules and lead times.

* Liaising with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements.

* Negotiating pricing, payment terms and delivery arrangements where appropriate.

* Monitoring stock levels and helping to prevent shortages or unnecessary expenditure.

* Resolving supplier queries and delivery issues efficiently.

* Maintaining accurate purchasing records and ensuring relevant documentation is up to date.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

* Previous experience in a Buyer, Purchasing or Procurement role.

* Strong communication and negotiation skills.

* Excellent organisation and attention to detail.

* Good commercial awareness and an understanding of cost control.

* The ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy working environment.

* Confidence using computer systems and Microsoft Office.

* A proactive approach to problem-solving and supplier management.

Experience purchasing engineering components, manufacturing materials or industrial products would be advantageous.
