Elite have partnered with an iconic high-street brand, seeking a highly motivated and experienced

Footwear Buyer

to join their team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the buying strategy for their footwear category. This role requires a deep understanding of market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape in the footwear industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive buying strategy for own brand footwear, in line with company objectives and budget constraints.
Deliver a balanced commercial range, which reflects the integrity of the brand and delivers a continuous sales and profit growth in line with company strategy.
Conduct market research to identify new trends, styles, and materials in the footwear industry.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements.
Collaborate with design and product development teams to create innovative and marketable footwear collections.
Monitor sales performance and inventory levels to optimize product assortment and maximize profitability.
Analyze sales data and consumer feedback to make informed decisions on product assortment and pricing.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify opportunities for growth.
Travel to trade shows, supplier meetings, and retail locations as needed.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in buying, ideally in a footwear or accessories category.
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Proven track record of building successful relationships with suppliers and driving sales growth.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
