Job Description - Buyer Food

Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by a leading produce wholesaler to recruit for a Buyer.

Main purpose of the job

Forecasting demand using past data.
Maintain and develop supplier relationships
Contract and pricing negotiation
Collaboration with internal teams
Managing of inventory levels

Job Requirements

Experience within a produce/food buying role is essential
Strong analytical skills
Happy to travel for supplier visits
Good understanding of market trends.
