Job Description - Buyer Food

Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by a leading produce wholesaler to recruit for a Buyer.

Main purpose of the job

  • Forecasting demand using past data.
  • Maintain and develop supplier relationships
  • Contract and pricing negotiation
  • Collaboration with internal teams
  • Managing of inventory levels

Job Requirements

  • Experience within a produce/food buying role is essential
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Happy to travel for supplier visits
  • Good understanding of market trends.
