Are you experienced with meat produce? Are you passionate about high-quality and luxury meat products? If yes to both AND you have a background in buying then read on!

In a respected and supportive working environment, you’ll use both your buying skills and meat industry knowledge to influence your suppliers and develop the meat category.

The Company

A well-established, progressive, and expanding organisation who are the first point of contact as a preferred supplier for high-end foodservice establishments across the UK. They have a global presence and are growing rapidly with new facilities and additional experienced head counts.

The Role

The role comes with a wide range of duties, these include;

* Overall management of your Meat category (full range + cured meats + meat alternatives)

* Forecasting (formulate forecasts and monitor stock levels), order processing and supplier management.

* Regular presentations and training on your category to the business and represent business at trade shows, conferences, and events.

* Lead NDP to identify new commercial opportunities and work closely with the sales team.

* Source new suppliers and expand with existing ones. Negotiate prices and manage supplier price files.

Your Skills & Experience

To be considered for this opportunity you’ll need.

* To be engaging and driven with excellent communication and negotiation skills

* Highly knowledgeable about the Meat sector. Along with knowledge of UK & EU laws and regulations

* Have excellent numerical & IT skills, strong with Forecasting, Excel, ERP’s (SAP), and PowerPoint

* Ability to manage multiple suppliers across the UK and internationally.

* Confident with presenting and passionate about Food
