Job Description

Buyer – Packaging (Part Time – circa 3 days per week, Fixed Term Contract – circa 6 months)

We are looking for an experienced Packaging Buyer to join our team on a temporary, part-time basis, and support our exciting journey of growth. You will focus on strategic projects, with a specific remit to review the end-to-end packaging supplier base, provide recommendations, and implement defined improvements to support supplier strategy development.

Responsibilities:
current spend and supplier profile and identify opportunities to mitigate supply chain risk, improve efficiencies, reduce lead times, and improve commercial terms.
market research to identify new supplier opportunities.
RFI and RFP processes with incumbent and potential suppliers to gather data, enable benchmarking, and make recommendations.
and deliver defined efficiency and improvement workflows (such as the switch from Free Issue to Directed Buy for key suppliers).
cross functionally to ensure all relevant stakeholders’ requirements are considered as part of any changes / recommendations.
support with Procurement process improvements.
with current supplier challenges.

About you:
Ideally from a Beauty / Personal Care / FMCG procurement background with experience in packaging procurement.
A strong cross functional player with excellent stakeholder management skills.
Comfortable managing multiple workstreams and adapting to change.
Strong commercial acumen, able to lead negotiations and capitalise on opportunities.
Knowledge of strategic sourcing and procurement best practice.
Challenges the status quo.
