Buyer (Purchasing)

ROLE: Purchasing Executive – Crawley
Location: Crawley
Job Type: Temporary
Salary: £32,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 16:30

Key Responsibilities

Managing the day-to-day purchasing process from requisition through to delivery
Raising and processing purchase orders
Liaising with suppliers to obtain pricing, availability and delivery information
Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships
Monitoring stock levels and placing orders as required
Tracking deliveries and following up on outstanding orders
Resolving purchasing, delivery and invoice discrepancies
Maintaining accurate purchasing and supplier records
Supporting with price comparisons and supplier negotiations
Working closely with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements
Producing reports and maintaining procurement documentation
Ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently

About You

Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, buying or supply chain is desirable
Excellent organisational and administration skills
Strong attention to detail
Confident communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook
Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Commercially aware with a proactive approach
Able to work independently and as part of a team
