Buyer/Planner – Sheffield – Competitive salary

Elevation Recruitment Group are excited to be working exclusively with a dynamic precision engineering business in Sheffield who are looking for a Buyer/Planner to join their team.
This newly created role will suit someone who thrives in a fast paced environment and the business offers fantastic development routes and training.

Hours: 8am – 4pm (Monday – Thursday) and 8am-1pm (Friday)

Required skills & experience:

• Previous experience in a technical environment - precision engineering, aerospace, automotive manufacturing etc
• MRP experience and strong Excel skills
• Strong communication skills
• Previous negotiation experience

Key Duties:

• Plan and manage material requirements to meet production schedules, ensuring resource readiness and inventory optimisation
• Source materials in line with ISO9001 and AS9100 standards whilst utilising dual sourcing strategies
• Monitor supplier performance, address delivery issues and mitigate risks across the supply chain
• Maintain accurate planning data within the MRP system and report on key KPIs such as OTIF, lead times and inventory turns
• Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction through enhanced planning, supplier negotiation, and process optimisation
