About the Opportunity

We are supporting a specialist engineering and marine services organisation in the search for an experienced Operations Manager to lead the delivery of complex offshore infrastructure projects.

This is a senior leadership position responsible for managing project execution, vessel operations, subcontractors, and client relationships across a portfolio of marine and subsea works. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving operational performance, safety standards, and project success.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the planning and delivery of offshore infrastructure projects, ensuring safe and efficient execution.

* Manage offshore teams, marine assets, and specialist subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.

* Develop and maintain operational procedures, work methods, and supporting documentation.

* Build and manage relationships with subcontractors and key suppliers.

* Provide operational and technical input during tender and bid activities.

* Act as a primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

* Promote a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with all relevant standards and procedures.

* Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, project performance, and commercial outcomes.

* Support the development and mentoring of operational personnel.

Requirements

* Degree qualified in Engineering, Marine Studies, or a related discipline.

* Proven experience delivering subsea cable installation, cable repair, export cable, array cable, interconnector, or offshore transmission projects.

* Significant experience within offshore, marine, subsea, or offshore wind environments.

* Strong background in project and operational management.

* Experience coordinating vessels, offshore personnel, and specialist subcontractors.

* Commercial awareness with experience supporting tenders and project planning activities.

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

* Strong understanding of offshore operations, logistics, and project delivery environments.

* Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and client-facing project delivery activities.
