CAD / CAM Programmer

Due to continued growth we are seeking a highly motivated CAD / CAM Programmer

Role Profile:

The role is to produce high quality and dimensionally accurate engineering drawings and CNC programs for the manufacturing of sheet metal to client orders and specifications.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Create accurate CAD/CAM profiles in line with client’s requests/order.


• Create CNC programs using those profiles that promote efficiency in laser time, and savings in material.


• Create manufacture drawings for press, fabrication and assembly operations.


• Modify and update CAD/CNC where needed in a timely manner


• Ensure good housekeeping and drawing control of programs is maintained.


• Clearly communicate with clients about order requirements, remaining professional and approachable at all times.


• Create bill of material lists, that will be submitted to the purchasing team and used to ensure all components for an order have sufficient resources to be completed.  

Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes:

A successful candidate will...

·         Have a strong understanding of 2D CAD software, preferably AutoCAD or TruTops

·         Have a strong knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes, and sheet metal developments.

·         Have a high proficiency in MS Office/Office365 products, specifically within Excel and Teams.

·         Preferably have experience with Trumpf CAM software, although this is not a requirement.

This position is required to be 100% site based.

• Salary - £27,000 - £32,000 DOE
