CAD Design Engineer

Your new role

As a CAD Designer, you will play a key role in delivering creative and commercially viable packaging solutions from initial concept through to production. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will respond to customer briefs with innovative designs that meet technical, environmental and manufacturing requirements.
Key responsibilities will include:

Producing high-quality structural packaging designs and technical drawings
Developing innovative carton solutions in response to customer briefs
Creating prototypes and visual concepts for customer presentation
Collaborating with internal teams including Sales, Pre-press and Production to bring designs to market
Producing multi-up layouts for costing and tooling requirements
Researching new materials, trends and technologies to enhance design output
Supporting the development of future opportunities and project pipelines
Ensuring all documentation and design outputs are completed accurately and on timeWhat you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will have:

A degree in a relevant design or engineering discipline
Proven experience in packaging or carton design (ideally within the folding carton industry)
Strong CAD capability, ideally using ArtiosCAD or similar packaging software
Experience working to design briefs within tight deadlines and budget constraints
A strong portfolio demonstrating creative and technical design ability
Experience with sample prototyping and technical presentationsYou will also demonstrate:
