Job Description - CAD Engineer

Job Title: CAD Designer
Location: Halesowen
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (39 hours per week)
Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 per annum (Depending on Experience)

Pertemps Dudley are currently recruiting for a CAD Designer to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business in Halesowen. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative team working on a wide range of exciting design and development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce accurate 2D and 3D designs using SolidWorks 2024 and DraftSight
Modify and update existing CAD drawings in response to design changes
Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and project teams to ensure seamless design implementation
Support prototype development and contribute to design revisions
Maintain accurate drawing records and ensure all designs comply with quality and design standards

Requirements:

Proven experience using SolidWorks (ideally 2024) and DraftSight
Solid understanding of mechanical design and manufacturing processes
High level of accuracy in interpreting and producing technical drawings
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and team collaboration skills

Additional Information:

This is an on-site role based in Halesowen – remote or hybrid working is not available for this position.
