CAD Engineer

CAD Engineer | 6 Months | Glasgow

Role

Provide modelling, design, and drafting support on your assigned project(s) to develop and optimise Substation layouts.
Be involved in project options and development assessments, conceptual designs and developing work on BIM standards, model libraries and the ongoing training and development of the team.
Be the main point of contact for all project graphical representation works.
Develop models, drawings, schematics, diagrams, maps, and other documentation as required, on time and to requisite standards.Requirements

Significant real-world experience and demonstrated proficiency in Revit, and a proven ability to create and support Revit Families and implement BIM solutions effectively. Proficiency in additional Autodesk AEC applications (e.g. Infraworks, ReCap, Twinmotion)
Solid knowledge of Autodesk Forma Data Management (or BIM 360/ACC), collaborative and coordinated workflows, a familiarity with BIM processes, ISO 19650 standards, and the application of a Common Data Environment (CDE).
Experience within a multi-disciplinary team, with in awareness of cross-team workflows and their broader impact.
Comprehensive understanding of general CAD procedures, including drawing registers, revision control, customisation capabilities, and best practices relating to CAD libraries and tool palettes, as well as expertise in maps and geo-referencing.ersg are an equal opportunities employer; we are committed to promoting equality of opportunity for all job applicants.
