CAD Technician

CAD Technician for a manufacturing company in the Bishop Auckland area, this is a full-time, permanent role. Technicians are responsible for creating manufacturing drawings of components in accordance with customer specifications, along with the documentation required for an ERP system. The role has been created to meet the needs of a busy, growing team.

The Role

Use the company's 3D design software to produce the engineering drawings.

Extracting information from customer drawings to prepare internal drawings.

Create boms and routes ready for the components to be manufactured.

Ensure that relevant drawings and information are available for other departments to facilitate the production of required parts.

To ensure all work/tasks/procedures/documentation meet the requirements of ISO 9001.

Working hours: Monday - Thursday 8am-4.30pm, Friday 8am-2pm

The Person

Full training will be given, and some previous experience is required. Applicants must be able to produce precise 2D drawings and be competent in the use of 3D CAD. They will have strong planning and organisational skills to ensure objectives and deadlines are met, excellent written and verbal skills and previous experience from within a manufacturing environment.

Remuneration

£25,000 to £29,000 depending upon experience.
