CAD Technician

We’re looking for a CAD Technician to join an engineering specialist at their site based in in Stockport, Greater Manchester.

This is a role suited to someone with experience using 3D AutoCAD within a construction or engineering environment, as you will be producing technical drawings, 3D models and design documentation.

What will you be doing as a CAD Technician?

* Preparing design layouts and detailed engineering drawings

* Producing accurate 3D AutoCAD models

* Integrating topographical surveys with Ordnance Survey coordinates

* Producing setting-out plans

* Updating design documentation in line with revision-control procedures

* Creating and maintaining a library of standard CAD objects and symbols

* Liaising with clients and suppliers to keep technical information moving

* Carrying out site visits to support the design process

* Producing and updating accurate as-built drawings

* Supporting wider teams with technical drawings and design information

What will you need?

* City & Guilds Level 3 in CAD, or an equivalent qualification

* At least five years’ experience using 3D AutoCAD within a construction or engineering environment

* Strong AutoCAD skills, including 3D modelling for engineering drawings

* Experience using AutoCAD MEP

* Driving licence
