CAD Technician / CAD Assistant

Fawkes & Reece are proud to be working with a well-established construction business who are looking to bring a Junior CAD Technician / CAD Assistant into their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the very beginning of their career who has an interest in construction and CAD. Our client is open to candidates who are fresh out of college or university, apprentices, graduates or those with limited commercial experience.

You don't need to be an experienced CAD Technician. As long as you have a basic understanding of CAD/AutoCAD and a genuine interest in developing your skills within the construction industry, the company is prepared to train and develop you.

The Role:

Assisting with CAD drawings and technical documentation
Supporting the wider design/technical team
Making amendments to existing drawings
Learning construction drawings, detailing and processes
Working with experienced members of the team to develop your CAD skills
Gaining hands-on experience within a construction environmentThe Ideal Candidate:

Basic knowledge of CAD or AutoCAD
Some exposure to technical/architectural drawings
A genuine interest in construction and design
Willingness to learn and develop
Open to school/college leavers, apprentices and recent graduates
No significant commercial experience requiredThis is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for their first step into a career in construction, CAD and technical design, with the opportunity to learn from an experienced team and progress within the business
