CAD Technician

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CAD Technician to join a multidisciplinary design team delivering a major programme of infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects across the UK water sector.

The position is available on a remote basis and offers an initial 18-month contract, providing long-term project exposure across water and wastewater treatment design.

The role would suit a technically strong CAD professional with experience across Civil 3D, Revit and BIM-led engineering environments.

The Role

You'll be involved in:

Producing technical drawings and design information for water and wastewater projects
Supporting infrastructure and non-infrastructure treatment schemes
Working with Civil 3D, Revit and wider CAD/BIM platforms
Developing and updating drawings throughout project delivery
Coordinating technical information across multidisciplinary design teams
Supporting civil and reinforced concrete design information
Incorporating engineering comments and design changes
Maintaining accurate drawing and model information
Supporting BIM-led design and project delivery

What They're Looking For

Previous experience as a CAD Technician or similar
Strong CAD and technical drawing capability
Experience using Civil 3D and/or Revit
Understanding of BIM processes and coordinated design environments
Ability to interpret engineering designs and technical requirements
Experience producing engineering drawings and project information
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work effectively within a remote multidisciplinary teamPrevious experience across water, wastewater, treatment works or wider civil engineering projects would be particularly beneficial.
