Role
We are supporting a growing Traffic Management business with the appointment of an experienced Traffic Management CAD Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual with experience in CAD and traffic management to join a busy and varied operation, supporting projects across a wide range of highways and infrastructure environments.
As a Traffic Management CAD Technician, you will play a key role in producing accurate, high-quality and risk-assessed CAD drawings that meet current legislation, industry standards and specific client requirements.
Working across a diverse range of projects, you will have the opportunity to produce traffic management drawings covering different road types, locations and project requirements. The role requires someone who can work accurately and efficiently while adapting to changing priorities and maintaining consistently high standards.
You will work closely with the operations, administration and wider project teams, providing technical support and helping to ensure drawings are delivered within agreed timescales and client SLAs.
This is a role that would suit someone who takes pride in producing high-quality technical work, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking to develop their career within the Traffic Management and highways sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce high-quality, risk-assessed CAD drawings in line with current legislation, industry standards and client-specific requirements.
* Ensure all drawings are accurate, clear and produced within agreed timescales and client SLAs.
* Maintain and manage the CAD register, ensuring all activities and outputs are accurately recorded to support invoicing and audit requirements.
* Attend tender and project meetings to gain a clear understanding of project scope, requirements and constraints.
* Produce clear and accurate sketches to support tender submissions, project planning and operational requirements.
* Provide technical support and guidance to the operations team, responding to client queries where required.
* Work collaboratively with administration, operations and other internal teams to ensure smooth and effective project delivery.
* Interpret technical information, drawings and project specifications to produce accurate traffic management solutions.
* Ensure all work is completed with a high level of attention to detail, maintaining consistency and accuracy across all drawings.
* Manage workload effectively, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines and changing project requirements.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant Traffic Management legislation, regulations and industry best practice.
* Contribute to the continual improvement of CAD processes, standards and working practices.

Technical Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in a similar CAD Technician or Traffic Management CAD role, ideally within the civil engineering, highways or traffic management sector.
* Strong working knowledge of Cone 11 software.
* Good understanding of relevant Traffic Management legislation, regulations and industry best practice.
* Ability to interpret technical information, drawings and project specifications and translate these into accurate CAD outputs.
* Experience working to client specifications and agreed service levels.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Qualifications & Training
* Sector Scheme 12D up to M7 qualification (min M1 and M2)
* Full UK Driving Licence Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
