Location:

Walsall or Remote with a visit to Walsall once every 2 weeks

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a talented CAD Technician where you will play a crucial role in the design and development of utility infrastructure projects, working closely with clients and project teams to create detailed CAD drawings and models.

Key Responsibilities:
Working with clients to determine project requirements:

Collaborate with clients, engineers, and project team leaders to assess project requirements and specifications.
Designing project frameworks:

Create project design frameworks using computer-aided design (CAD) software, highlighting significant features and components based on client requirements.
Gathering information on product specifications:

Research and gather information on product specifications, including materials, manufacturing costs, and client product specifications.
Supervising the creation or manufacture of products:

Provide guidance and supervision to manufacturing teams, ensuring that technical drawings are accurately translated into finished products.
Reviewing existing products:

Assist in the modification and improvement of existing products, identifying design flaws and opportunities for enhancement using CAD software.

Requirements:
Proven experience as a CAD Technician or similar role.
Proficiency in AUTOCAD software,
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and project teams.
Attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of utility infrastructure and construction processes is a plus.
